Many of the persons who travel up to Peru do not spend a lot of time in Lima, the capital of the country, but, usually, they decide to spend only one night, of way to Iquitos, in the north, of the Lake Titicaca on the south, or Cuzco and Machu Picchu in the heart of the Andes. The best place to stay in Lima is the luxurious Miraflores quarter. For it the best thing is to approach Larcomar, a beautiful shopping center outdoors in Miraflores, which offers a few beautiful conference to the sea. To buy something typical of Peru, and at better price, you have to visit the Indian market of local craft, close to the Oval. There you will be able to buy hats of Peru, scarves of alpaca, jewels, and other gifts and typical memories.
Miraflores also has something to go away of having dinner. For that you travel with a slightly more exact budget, there is a variety of small restaurants with many menus of the day. The prices are usually very cheap, with plates that range between one and two euros. You will find the best restaurants of this type along the Avenue Larco.
Slightly more intimate and elegant you have them close to the area of the Oval. Although here also verés fast food restaurants. You can have a romantic dinner, with a view to the sea, in Larcomar or La Rosa Náutica, a restaurant that is just in the wharf. Other of the favorites is in Miraflores, the Network, which serves an excellent ceviche, although only it is opened up to 17.00 hours.
