Guidebook of Hallstatt in Austria

I still remember tenderly the wonderful and picturesque city of Hallstatt, a beautiful corner in Austria, an authentic fairy tale destination. Surrounded with a wonderful and idyllic scenery, it is a small city that it is possible to cover in only fifteen minutes. I still remember the conference along with the lake, the covered mountains of snow, and the color cake of his houses, almost spilled in the waters.

Hallstatt

The first one of the routes that you can do in Hallstatt is from the lake up to the mines of salt that there is in the top of the city. As you are rising you will have a few incredible conference of the people, the mountains and the lake. Not to forget the camera in this trip.

The salt mine closes between November to April. You can take a funicular one to come and to visit, miners' garments, this corner. To penetrate into the tunnels and caverns of these mines of salt that were already working in the Neolithic one and the Age of the Bronze.

Since what we want it is to enjoy the Hallastatt scenery, we go out of the mines, and discover elegant and glamorous Capilla Bone de Hallstatt, who dates of the XIIth century. It is small, but it lodges in his interior more than 600 skulls of dead persons buried in the ancient cemetery of the church. This practice continued until 1960, when the catholic church began to allow the cremation. It turns out to be incredible to be in this room of the bones.

If you want to stay at a traditional place, that a salt mine became first and later a brewery from 1504 until 1917, remain to sleep in Braugasthof Hallstatt, which is in charge of the family Lobissier. If you stay here you will do a wonderful trip in the time, since the house is traditional, the typical picture of the small Austrian houses.

Undoubtedly, Hallstatt does not make anybody indifferent. I still remember it whenever I teach proudly the photos of this corner, perhaps of nicer that you could never have found yourselves. Hallstatt is a real Alpine postcard, an image that one will never forget to you, between mountains, small houses of colors and a beautiful lake.
