To know the desert is the sleep of many. A place in which one sees little more than sand, and that simultaneously attracts us and we scare with his nobility and with his immensity. I do not know if you imagine how it must be to walk along a dune, to sit down in her and to contemplate the scenery and, if it is possible, the dawn.
Undoubtedly, it is one of these absolutely unforgettable experiences. Well, if you believed that you might never do something like that you were mistaken. And the fact is that at present there are routes that will allow you to do an unforgettable trip.
Erg Chebbi is a field of dunes that has nothing more and neither more nor less than a 22 kilometers length, and along with him there is Merzouga, a small people that, for centuries, was the most important enclave, since it was a center of provisioning for all the trailers that were crossing the Sahara.
Nowadays, concerning these dunes there are organized holding a permit routes that turn out to be very interesting, since they allow to the travelers to know how the world is in the desert first hand, to learn how there is the life of the Berbers (a people associated for ages with the desert).
The truth is that the possibilities concerning these escapes are great: they are to see the sun going out from the dunes, to see to get dark (one of my darlings) or inlcuso there exists the possibility of mounting in camel for some hours or of sleeping in jaimas.
Along with the inhabitants of the desert, it is possible to drink a warm tea (yes, warm, to resist the heat) or to listen to the histories of the nomadic shepherds.
One of these trips is, undoubtedly, the only way of knowing another life style, other sceneries, finally, a different culture. Of course, with much of what to learn.
