Like moving for Istanbul

Istanbul has a complex system of public transport, which you have to know if you have thought to travel in your next holidays. Today we want to give you some advices to be able to move with facility for the whole city, trying that you save the possible maximum thing.

Istanbul

Precisely, for a long stay in Istanbul, we advise you to buy an Akbil, a card for most of transports of the city. You can buy your Akbil in Eminonu or in Square Taksim, close to the bus station. Especially because these two places are the principal axes of the center of Istanbul.

The buses system is the widest way of traveling round Istanbul. It is possible to travel with our Akbil, or buying a ticket, which is bandaged close to the bus station, while it is possible to buy the private buses inside the same one.

Other one of the options to move us for Istanbul is across the meter that it departs from the Square Taksim. The meter covers a limited part of the city, stopping in Osmanbey, Sisli, Gayrettepe, Levent and Levent 4. Another exit line is an Aksaray, which you have to take if your intention is to go up to the international buses station in Esenler.

There is a tramcar that circulates from Zeytinburnu, across Aksaray and the Old City, it crosses the golden Horn and continues towards the north, along the Bosphorus, up to Kabatas. Finally, the tramcar continues further away, up to Besiktas. You can be provided also with a funicular one, which it should salt in Kabatas and it goes up to the Square Taksim. Funicular other, the Tunnel, does a major route, from Karakoy, in the north side of the Bridge of Galata, up to the south end of Istiklal Cadessi, in Beyoglu.

The light train LTR is the cheapest way of coming from the International Airport of Ataturk up to the center of the city. The private bus Havas also is very useful to connect with the airport, but it is a little more expensive than the train. Nevertheless, it is more comfortable, and for in the Square Taksim. This bus is ideal for those that you are going to remain in the Beyoglu area, while that you are closer to Sultanahmet you must take the train.

We can give a tourist walk along Istanbul in any of his ferries. Most of them go out from the wharves of Eminonu, doing stops in Sirkeci, Besiktas, Karakoy and Kabatas. The tickets of the ferry can be bought to the exit. To take a ferry across the Bosphorus and to explore the Asian side of Istanbul.

When the public transport stops working, from the midnight and up to the 06.00 of the morning, it is suitable to use the taxis. Never risk walking alone along the streets of Istanbul. The taxis are abundant, and the best thing is to say to the driver the hotel at which you stay, and which takes you up to the door. To make sure you that the taxi has taximeter.
