La Valletta, a history paradise in Malta

Did you know that Malta is the country that takes a major historic monuments concentration as kilometers square of the world?. Since yes, Malta is an authentic museum outdoors of marvels. If you have never visited it, this is your opportunity.

The capital of Malta is La Valletta, and the first place to which we go is to the Palace of the Big Master, one of the most impressive fortitude of Europe decorated with the portraits of some big monarches and masters of the orders of knighthood.

Of this fortitude, nothing better than to happen up to the Hipogeo, one of the big architectural marvels of the world. It is a question of an underground funeral camerawoman, and who goes back to five thousand or six thousand years behind. It was discovered under the soil of La Valletta in 1902, when the owner of a house in the city was constructing a store.

This Hipogeo covers a five thousand square meters area, and a depth of more than ten meters. The temples that here existed go back very much before the pyramids of Egypt.

In addition to these two visits, we can approach up to the Center of Conferences of the Mediterranean, to know a little more on the life of Malta and his link with this sea. The center is in what in his moment it was a Sacred Infermia, the ancient Hospital of the Gentlemen of the Order of Saint John. Nowadays the center offers us the opportunity to cover five thousand years of history of Malta.

In the famous street of the Repúlica we can visit the National museum of Archaeology, which is located in the building of Auberge de Provence. It is another good place to inform us about the history of Malta. There you will find many remains, pieces and relics that have been discovered from immemorial times. Between the most valued they are the statue of the asleep Virgin, and the Venus of Malta.

There are many other tourist places in Malta. We were already saying to you that it is a question of a destination in which to never get bored, with the big quantity of architectural treasures that it has. It is a good moment to approach even there and to discover them: do not you believe?.

Also you can approach the excellent restaurants that exist in Queenstown and the near Arrowtown. Do ask, to accompany the menu, a bottle or a glass of Pinot Noir, the best wine of the region.

The best epoch to travel to Queenstow, and the whole New Zealand, is between December 1 and February 28, since here it is a summer. The temperatures during the day are not usually very high, ranging between the 20 and 30 grades. Curiously, it dawns on the 05.00 of the morning, and it does not get dark up to 22.00 hours, what means that we have fifteen 17 hours of light.

Nancy, the cradle of the New art in France

Today we want to travel to France to know the wonderful and flirtatious city of Nancy, in his cardinal moment of the Duchy of Lorraine. This city lodges an impressive architecture of the XVIIIth century, and a few wonderful examples of buildings of New art. Do you want to know it?

The style New art created its own school in Nancy in 1901. This new art wanted to break with the past, preparing nuesvas forms and lines especially linked with the nature. Crystal, glass and color in the furniture were his principal characteristics. The School of Nancy bloomed like one of the best of Europe.

A walk along the city reveals to us majestic architectural examples of this epoch and this style. Between these examples you cannot allow visiting Brasserie Flo Excelsior, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the houses of the quarter of Saurupt, almost all of them with a touch of Art Deco.

Other of the elements typical of the style New art was the crystal of Daum, of which several making factories still stay in Nancy. You can visit the exclusive shops of the Square Stanislas, or know the impressive collection of this crystal that keeps in the Museum of Fine arts of Nancy.

The Square Stanislas honors a laid down Polish king who looked for refuge in the French court. Luis XIV entrusted him the Duchy of Lorraine, and Stanislas, with his fortune, helped to the poor and embellished the cities of the duchy. He constructed an architectural complex that joins the ancient quarters Nancy yuevos.

Precisely, the squares of the historical center of Nancy were catalogued in 1983 like Patrimonies of the Humanity by the UNESCO, by the wonderful set of architecture of the XVIIIth century that they form. Of them you have to visit the Square of the Carriere, with his sources, statues and the columns of the Palace of Government, and the Square of the Alliance, a calm square adorned with a source of Italian style.

Nevertheless, the biggest of three squares is the Square Stanislas, neuralgic center of Nancy, and that formerly was known as the Real Square, in gratitude to the king of France. It is an enormous square framed by an arch triumphal and surrounded by the most beautiful buildings, as the Theater, the Town hall and the Museum of Fine arts.

Symbol of Nancy is the wonderful Door of Gold, as well as Stanislas's statue, which appears to this square. Not that to say has that you have to approach up to this city of this one of France.

Cortona, the nicest people of the Tuscany

We were moving away approximately 80 kilometers of the city of Florence, when we discover the village of Cortona, surrounded with vineyards and olive groves. Impregnated with history, in this city the time has stopped 400 years ago. It turns out to be a marvel to do a trip for the Tuscany and to discover this so wonderful corner …

You must walk along the narrow and steep alleys of stone of Cortona. Often they open way to themselves across coffees, bars and pasticcerías, and in other occasions they pass between dark alleys, which will take you up to the most historical places of the city.

In addition to the history and the culture, Cortona lodges one of the most interesting festivals of Europe, the Festival of the Sun of the Tuscany, which receives concerts and other arts as the movies. This year will take place from July 31 until August 5, so that you are reserving your hotels with advance. Most of the concerts and events take place in the Theater Signorelli and the Auditorium of San Agostino.

Pero Cortona is one of the cities richest in history of Italy. We wander about the streets for the city to visit the Diocesan Museum, in Piazza del Duomo, where you will see the best Italian art of the XIVth and XVth centuries. Also you have the Museum of the Etruscan Academy, placed in Palazzo Casali, constructed in the XIIIth century. The lovers of the archaeology you must go to the Museum Farneta, and if you want to see churches, the best in Cortona are the Sanctum of Santa Margarita and Santa Maria of the Calcinaio.

We want to recommend to you also two hotels to stay at Cortona. One of them is the Hotel San Michele, located in one of the most ancient buildings of the city, to only a few steps of the squares, museums, theaters and restaurants of the historical center. The double rooms have a price for 100 euros the night.

Other of the hotels is The Gelosie, in the center of Cortona, with beautiful conference to Piazza Signorelli. Some of the scenes of the movie of La Vida she is Beautiful they were filmed here. The double rooms have a price for 95 euros, and in the price the breakfast is included.

The Cataracts of Iguazú and the Glacier of the Brown Expert

Have you ever been in Argentina?. This South American country is an authentic natural marvel. Every year, the Brown Expert Glacier and the Cataracts of Iguazú attract million tourists, being two of the most visited places of South America. Although both attractions are at considerable distance, they must be essential of visiting if you travel to Argentina.

Perhaps you have heard speaking more of the Cataracts of Iguazú. They are located on the border with Brazil, to the North-East of Argentina. They lodge more than 275 water falls, and spread beyond two kilometers. They are higher than the Cataracts of the Niagara and there are considered to be a Patrimony of the Humanity by the UNESCO. You have the opportunity to do senderismo in the cataracts, in addition to walks in jeep or in ship up to the low part of the cataracts.

A visit also can take us to the cataracts the most nearby cities, like for example Foz do Iguaçu, on the border with Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. Another city that he is worth while visiting is a Port Iguazú, or City of the East, close to Paraguay, an ideal place to go shopping.

Of the Cataracts of Iguazú we go away up to the south of Argentina, to know the Glacier of the Brown Expert. The Glaciers are located in the National park, and it is one of the big attractions of the Patagonia. It is provided with 250 square kilometers of surface, containing the biggest third reservation of fresh water of the world.

It goes over very easily to the glacier thanks to the fact that it is inside the national park. Anyhow, I recommend the whole world to visit the Brown Expert across a tourist guide. Especially for the fact that, to such a big being, it is almost impossible to be able to see in only one stop.

Like véis, the Cataracts of Iguazú and the Glacier of the Brown Expert are two of the most interesting attractions of visiting in Argentina and in the whole South America. Both places can be visited in the same trip, since there are flights that connect the cataracts with the glaciers. Anyhow, if you want to visit two places in the same trip the stay will have to be a little long.

Cultural visit to Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires, a magnificent tourist destination: who might say the opposite?. The capital with delight, full of tango, of music of bandoneón and elegant quarters, a city that waits for you with the open arms, ready to offer you the best thing of better. Do you come to yourselves to Buenos Aires?

I particularly like the Buenos Aires literary, that one that it offers up to four routes, centring on writers like Julio Cortázar, Jorge Luis Borges, Roberto Arit, and the way of the letters, which takes us across a series of sights, introduced by poems or histories. The routes and the holding a permit visits begin every half an hour, and it is possible to go down and to rise of the bus to do our own visit.

I love also the Argentina of the tango, so intimate, so sensual and soft at the same time. Tens and tens of rooms of tango have proliferated in the last years in Buenos Aires. You cannot leave Buenos Aires without savouring a tango, hearing it at least, already dancing it it would be another thing. A good lesson would be to assist to one of these rooms of tango, like for example Tango Of Buenos Aires, Red Tango or The Window.

Buenos Aires is also the green city, with his Botanical garden, in the quarter of Palermo. This place offers a wonderful selection of oriental and French gardens. Nevertheless, the gardens and parks of Buenos Aires have turned lately into favorite hearth of the godforsaken cats. They are throughout.

In Argentina you have to approach the quarter of the Mouth, and there the Museum of Fine arts, constructed originally by one of the most famous painters and darlings of the Argentina, Benito Quinquela Martín. It was constructed in 1938, and since then it is one of the most beautiful museums of the country full of flourishing culture.

If you want, you can be useful to have a beautiful excursion from Buenos Aires. Approximately thirty kilometers to the north of the city is Town of Ocampo. Victoria Ocampo was one of the most influential literary figures in the Argentina of the XXth century. During this epoch, this farm was visited by artists and writers, from Borges to Virginia Woolfe. Today it is opened for the public for visits and special events. It is possible to come perfectly in bus from Buenos Aires.

Activities to enjoy in Grand Canary

Grand Canary is almost almost a paradise and the best thing of everything is that we have it very close … So: why do not you cheer up to enjoy his beaches, his sceneries, his gastronomy? Grand Canary has an enormous quantity of things to offer the vistantes.

From the trips blog, we want to do to you a series of recommendations of all the things that you must not allow doing before leaving Grand Canary.

  • To start, the climate of Grand Canary is an authentic privilege, especially depending on the place of the year in which you visit it. In fact, there are great the tourists who do an escapadita in winter to the island, being useful as well as the prices are more limited. In fact, to sunbathe in one of his beaches is something that you must not leave. I recommend to you, for example, that of The Quarries, one of the nicest urban beaches of the country. And later, do take a little in the terracitas.
  • The Maspalomas oasis, to the south of the island, is really impressive. One of these unforgettable places, which spreads in the Vale of Thousand Palm trees towards the north, with fruit-bearing trees that share territory with a volcanic environment with which the contrast is beautiful.
  • But what you must not allow seeing either is the historical helmet. The best way of doing it is to walk along his streets and to enjoy all his corners. The House Museum of Columbus, for example, is a place that he is worth visiting, the Cathedral, the Literary Office or the House Museum of Pérez Galdós.
  • I do not know if you will know that the Virgin of the Pine is the boss of the islands, so a very advisable visit is the Church of the Virgin of the Pine in Teror, a place which many canaries approach. It is a question of a church of big artistic value, which dates of 1760.
  • The sceneries of Grand Canary are other of his points puertes, so also I recommend to you to contemplate the Peak of the sNieves, Roque Nublo and Roque. If you are lucky and the day is cleared, up to the possible one that you could discern the silhouette of the Teide.

And of course, it is necessary to add a recommendation to all this: do prove the local gastronomy, with his sauces of really peculiar flavors, the cheeses and the wine.

He visits the Red Square of Moscow

It is sure that if they ask you for Moscow, one of your first answers would be the Red Square. Since yes, the Red Square of Moscow must always be between the first ones of our recommendations at the time of planning a visit to the Russian city. Do you want to know why?.

The Red Square was created at the end of the XVth century, under the reign of Iván II I, with the name of the Square of the Trinidad, since in her there was the Cathedral of the Trinidad, which was located in the place that today occupies the Cathedral of San Basilio. This ancient square was the place of meeting of the Muscovites, in addition to albergas the festivals, announcements of the government and public executions.

In 1918 the square turned into a communist cemetery and courtyard of weapon, to happen to receive in 1924 the Lenin's Mausoleum. One of the events most remembered in this square took place in 1945, when the Soviet army paraded to go to the war against the Germans in the Second World war. Nowadays the Red Square of Moscow receives after the year a big number of concerts.

In addition to the concerts, in her we can see the Cathedral of San Basilio, possibly one of the most photographed buildings of the world, with his domes spirals of attractive colors. This church was entrusted by Iván Terrible, to commemorate a military victory over the Mongols in 1522. Nine domes spirals correspond to nine chapels, and represent nine victories of the Russians on the Mongols in that war.

The legend counts that Iván Terrible extracted the eyes to the architect of the cathedral after constructing it, so that he could never construct anything more beautiful.

Other of the most beautiful buildings that we could find from the Red Square was the Cathedral of Kazán, destroyed by the Bolsheviks in the first decades of the XXth century. In his place they could turn coffees and shops, until in 1990 the Russian government was deciding to reconstruct it, so that we all could contemplate it today.

If you have thought to travel to Moscow, the Red Square is one of the essential visits to the city. Do approach her, so much in the daytime, as in the spectacular nature of the night. The truth that it will captivate you and will stun you.

But, in Verona we have to approach to impressively Sand of Verona, placed in Piazza Bra. A grand Roman building, constructed in the year 30, with capacity for 20.000 persons.

Nowadays it is one of the bigger theaters of opera of the world, and it lodges big spectacles in June, July and August, the whole delight even for those who are not keen of the classical music. Of the Sand of Verona we can go on to visit the Loggia del Consiglio, an example of the Renaissance architecture of the XVth century, placed in the Piazza dei Signori. It is a question of the ancient head office of the Town hall of the city, and that today lodges the statues of some of the most famous residents of Verona.

In the Roman epoch, delle Erbe was placing the center of Verona in the Piazza. Nowadays it is an essential place in our visit to the city, with interesting flea markets, monuments and medieval buildings. Around him there is a big quantity of bars and restaurants. To sit down in one of them to contemplate calmly the beautiful House Mazzanti, with his living colors, or the source of Madonna Verona, the tower of Gardello and the Palace Maffei.

The Meter of Moscow, underground work of art

The legend counts that the circular line of the Meter of Moscow originated from a cup of coffee. During a meeting to plan the meter of the city, the engineers presented to Stalin a map of the radial lines of the meter. While they were explaining the system to him, Satalin was drinking little coffee in silence. When it ended, the Russian leader put his cup of coffee on the planes of the engineers, and got up of the table without saying anything …

Meter Moscow

When the engineers raised the cup of coffee, they discovered the Stalin magic. A circular ring of brown color was defining the line that was missing to complete the tube of Moscow. From this day, the circular line of Moscow is of brown color.

You create or not the curious history, it is an impossible today to imagine the meter of Moscow without this circular line about the center of the city. The line continues the Garden Ring, in the south of the city, continuing up to the north, tuning in to all the interesting places of Moscow and all his stations. Nevertheless, like the rest of the meter, the circular line is not a simple transport way, but the whole monument to the nobility and the Soviet power.

One of the big stations of the circular line is the Kievskaya, in 1954, and it coincided with the Russian-Ukrainian unification of 300 years ago. It offers the whole spectacle of art, which is based on the friendship between the peoples. To be able to read the mosaics it is necessary to do from the escalator that takes us to the station. Do not get lost the portrait of a Lenin smiling at the end of the corridor.

The following stop of the line is Krasnopresnenskaya, a station dedicated to the revolutionary events that took place in this part of Moscow. It is covered with marble red and lined with down reliefs of terracotta, which show the revolutions of 1905 and 1917.

Other one of the stops that you have to visit is Novoslobodskaya, one of the most impressive stops of the meter of Moscow, with a series of spectacular shop windows. The station ends in with a panel that represents a Soviet version of the Virgin and the Child.

Komsomolskaya is the best place to finish our trip for the Circular Line of the Meter of Moscow, since it represents the top of the empire of Stalin, with his classic exaggerated elements and exhuberantes. Nationalistic details resemble the orthodox churches, and Pedro and Catalina la Grande. Golden panels show the big victories of the Russian state, like the Soviet victory in the Second World war.

Without a doubt that Mosú has real works of art hidden in the Meter of the city.

Of course, in the beaches of this area it is very windy, what is ideal to do some parachuting and other aquatic sports, like surfing or ski.

The historical center of Port of Carmen supports the extract of a traditional Canary people. This area has several very good restaurants, but they are a little lost, so to look well. On the other hand, the Avenue of the Beaches is provided with bars, restaurants and other tourist attractions. A good place here to go shopping is a Biosphere, a shopping center of four plants, with shops, commerce, bars and area of games.
Other one of the big visits that you have to do is a Coast Teguise, an area much calmer than the previous ones, ideal then to come in family, or for a romantic escape. This does not mean that there are no things to be done on Coast Teguise. There are many restaurants, bars and places to go to buy, in addition to up to three beaches to spend it well.

The smallest center of the island is a Lime Port, with a pair of very agreeable hotels and some apartments. Therefore, it is the calmest Lanzarote place. Anyhow, his port receives the ships and the showiest yachts. The seafront is full of restaurants and shops with impressive conference to the port. Also you can visit an interesting museum of whales and dolphins.

The capital of Lanzarote is the small city of Reef, to only five kilometers of the airport. In spite of being the capital, it is not the most tourist place that we say. Anyhow, you can walk along the city, the only place of the island where there are big buildings, since no Lanzarote construction is higher than a palm tree. The Reef beaches are very calm, and the seafront has interesting shops.

So if you still do not have your next destination of Holy Week thought-out, to think the possibility of Lanzarote, an ideal place to begin to dream of the summer arrival.

The best chocolate shops in Berlin

Do you like the chocolate?: and in addition do you have thought to travel to Berlin soon?. Then, you are of congratulations, since the German capital has a few shops of German chocolate that you will love. Certifications delicatessen in the one that these main craftsmen take working more than hundred years. Do you want to know any chocolate shops in Berlin?.

Fassbender and Rausch

Today we are going to recommend to you three wonderful shops of chocolate that I knew in my stay in Berlin. The three are placed very easily, in the central Mitte quarter, as what they have no loss. This way it will turn out to be much simpler to you if you have to do buys in the center of Berlin, you come to any of these chocolate shops, and solved matter. An exquisite gift for your relatives.

- Fassbender and Rausch

We go with the first one of these shops, located in the shade of the Cathedral of Berlin, in a wonderful square, the Gendarmentmarkt. This shop goes making chocolate in Berlin from 1863. To enter her is to do a trip in the time, to the epoch in which the chocolate shops were a work of art. Soils of wood and of brass, shop windows, and the sensation of a very cozy stay, with a smell of the only chocolate.

Here you can buy models of the Reichstag or the Door of Brandenburgo in chocolate, in addition to a big selection of bonbons of truffle. The boxes and the sachets in that the chocolates are wrapped are also a work of art. Also, there is a very good selection of chocolates brought straight from Madagascar or New Guinea. The second plant is a snack bar restaurant, which plates, as it could not perform another form, have relation great with the chocolate. Also, the conference that are had from here of the buildings of the square it is brilliant.

- Leysieffer

This chocolate shop is in boisterous and TV/radio commercial Friedrichstrasse. This familiar pasterlería goes working from 1909, and offers a big variety of flavors and different styles of doing chocolate. It is almost impossible to resist to the temptation of his shop window. In his interior also there is a snack bar, where to taste the pastries of the shop. Across his large windows you will see the pother of this street, a very calm place, with an exquisite flavor.

- Ritter Sport

The chocolate sellers of this shop prepare chocolate from 1912. In spite of everything, the shop is opened from January, 2010. It is placed also in the center of Berlin, specifically in Franzosischestrasse, between others two shops. It is a place in which even to be able to ask us to do ahead ours our own chocolate to us, of the way that let's want. In the second plant there is a kidling expósición of the world and the history of the chocolate.

Who wants to give himself an exquisite caprice in the center of Berlin?.

Fukuoka: the most traditional city of Japan

Today we visit Fukuoka, one of the most traditional cities of Japan. It is placed in the island of Kyushu, and his principal attractions are the statues of Buddha, the sanctums and the ancient ruins. A place where the traditional and modern Japan is melted in the only one.

Fukuoka

In Fukuoka you will think from modern shopping centers, to small familiar craft shops, that one never goes so far as to explain himself how they could have survived economically during generations. A modern system of meter and trains bleats they will serve to us to move for the whole city.

Our first visit has like protagonist the Sanctum of Kushida, easily recognizable by the enormous red lanterns that decorate his door. It is to only ten minutes on foot of enormous Buddha Daibutsu, and is a place much venerated by the Japanese, who approach so far at least once a day to pray.

One of the best places to eat and to go shopping in Fukuoka is a Channel City, an enormous complex in which you will see hotels, movies, restaurants and shops. The fish and seafood of Fukuoka perhaps are the best of the whole Japan, since it is fresh air of the day, caught every day in the Sea of Genkai. The restaurants of this area are the best of the city, as well as those of Nakasu, the most animated area and to which you have to go if you want to live through the night Fukuoka life.

In the center of the city it has rather set ambulant of meal, like the quarter of Tenjim, where there make use spikes of grilled chicken, stews and soup of noodles.
We recommend to you, if you have occasion, to visit Fukuoka in spring, to approach big Buddha Daibutsu, of more than ten meters high, surrounded by the coloring of the cherry trees, the almond trees and the roses, an extremely charming visual spectacle. The curious of the case is that the flowers and the scenery can be photographed, but not the statue of Buddha. There are observers and police officers in the surroundings so that these norms are fulfilled.

Like véis, Fukuoka is a simple city in Japan, which combines the ancient traditions with the buildings and the modern structures. If you are in Japan, it is a visit more than advisable.

He visits the Golden Gate in San Francisco

Every city of the United States can presume of an impressive architectural monument. If we speak about San Francisco: of which of them might it presume? Exactly, you it have said, of the famous person Golden Gate, symbol of the city and one of the big marvels of the world.

Golden Gate

And the fact is that a tourist visit to the city of San Francisco would not be finished without the visit to this colossus on the waters of the bay. To appreciate his value, we should earlier know a little about his history. Constructed in the crazy American years 20, at the beginning of the Big Depression, this bridge constituted a symbol of perseverance and determination of the American people.

The bridge would end in 1937, and there became the longest bridge of steel of the world until, in 1964, the Verrazano-Narrows bridge was joining the city of New York with Staten Island and Brooklyn.

Who has ever exclaimed that this bridge is one of the big marvels of the world?. Possibly be the most famous bridge of the world, at least the most photographed: do not you believe?. Although Golden Gate can meet from any point of San Francisco, we are going to recommend to you the conference that are had from the Area of National Recreation of Golden Gate. For something more about 13 million persons a year they contemplate it from here.

This area, considered to be a National park, really is a set of parks that spread from the north of the county of San-Mateo up to the south of the county of Marin. Or what is the same, more than 75 kilometers across the coast. In summer, the people of San Francisco come so far to walk, to do senderismo, to mount in bicycle, to skate, and how not, to do to him you photograph Golden Gate, and even to paint it.

And if earlier we were speaking to you that we cannot go away of San Francisco without visiting the Golden Gate, we cannot go away precisely of his Area of National Recreation without moving up to the small island where the Gannet prison is. Although it has not lodged prisoners from 1963, since then visits guided by her can be done. Do you imagine to cover the same corridors for which it walked The Capone?.

I do not believe that Golden Gate and his surroundings make you feel indifferent in San Francisco. You will not repent.

Guidebook of Larnaca, Cyprus

It is a question of Larnaca, a phenomenal historical destination, with beautiful conference, and a wonderful miscellany of the ancient thing and the modern thing, that he will make you enjoy enormously.

Larnaca is placed on the southeast coast of Cyprus, I joust where the biggest airport of the island is, therefore of course it is where you come if you demolish Cyprus. In addition to his airport, Larnaca is the second biggest port of Cyprus, a place of crystalline and captivating waters. His port has an important animation, especially in the night.

He did not know it till now, but Larnaca is one of the most ancient inhabited cities of the world. It was colonized by the Phoenicians, and it alludes already to her in the Ancient Testament, during the first centuries before Christ, although in that epoch it was known as Quitim.

But not only it is one of the most ancient inhabited cities, but one of the oldest ports. Also in the Ancient Testament, in Daniel's book, one alludes to the ships that were coming to the Quitim port. Therefore, for ages, we imagine the big commercial importance that should have had Larnaca.

One of his most well-known festivals is the Kataklysmos, or Festival of the Flood, a festival of three weeks of duration that is celebrated precisely in the port. The music, the dance and the gastronomy are common elements in all these festivals.

Since we speak about gastronomy, the Mediterranean traditional kitchen is the essential seasoning of Larnaca. Many of his plates combine the ancient spices with the modern ingredients, what they do of the Cypriot kitchen a splendid sensations conglomerate.

Guidebook of Hallstatt in Austria

I still remember tenderly the wonderful and picturesque city of Hallstatt, a beautiful corner in Austria, an authentic fairy tale destination. Surrounded with a wonderful and idyllic scenery, it is a small city that it is possible to cover in only fifteen minutes. I still remember the conference along with the lake, the covered mountains of snow, and the color cake of his houses, almost spilled in the waters.

Hallstatt

The first one of the routes that you can do in Hallstatt is from the lake up to the mines of salt that there is in the top of the city. As you are rising you will have a few incredible conference of the people, the mountains and the lake. Not to forget the camera in this trip.

The salt mine closes between November to April. You can take a funicular one to come and to visit, miners' garments, this corner. To penetrate into the tunnels and caverns of these mines of salt that were already working in the Neolithic one and the Age of the Bronze.

Since what we want it is to enjoy the Hallastatt scenery, we go out of the mines, and discover elegant and glamorous Capilla Bone de Hallstatt, who dates of the XIIth century. It is small, but it lodges in his interior more than 600 skulls of dead persons buried in the ancient cemetery of the church. This practice continued until 1960, when the catholic church began to allow the cremation. It turns out to be incredible to be in this room of the bones.

If you want to stay at a traditional place, that a salt mine became first and later a brewery from 1504 until 1917, remain to sleep in Braugasthof Hallstatt, which is in charge of the family Lobissier. If you stay here you will do a wonderful trip in the time, since the house is traditional, the typical picture of the small Austrian houses.

Undoubtedly, Hallstatt does not make anybody indifferent. I still remember it whenever I teach proudly the photos of this corner, perhaps of nicer that you could never have found yourselves. Hallstatt is a real Alpine postcard, an image that one will never forget to you, between mountains, small houses of colors and a beautiful lake.

He visits Kent's county in England

The lovers of the nature you have to approach in some occasion up to Kent's county, in Great Britain, known by all like the Garden of England. For centuries here the best flowers of the country have been cultivated, and his sceneries are full of a spectacular coloring.

Castle of Dover

Without going further, one of the big cultivation in Kent has been for ages the hop, fundamental ingredient in the making of the beer. The inhabitants of Kent's county did not waste this grace of the nature, and they were preparing their own beer in Oast Houses, a few characteristic conical buildings, which you will see in many points of the county.

Today this Oast Houses, many of them, has turned into wonderful historical accommodations, which you can enjoy, and which we recommend to you, if you are of tourism somewhere here.

Other of the big attractions for which the tourists come even Kent is to see the Castle of Dover, placed on the English Channel, in the famous white cliffs. In fact, the castle is not the most ancient place of the area, but you will see the ruins of a Roman lighthouse and the Church of Santa Maria in Castro, a Saxon structure, constructed on an ancient Roman temple devoted to Minerva, and that it preserves the most ancient arch of all the English churches.

More importance that in the Middle Age has had, curiously, the Castle of Dover in the contemporary epoch. Precisely, the tunnels that are in the low part of the fortitude served in the Second World war to evacuate to the British troops. Also it was the secret head office of the British government, before a possible nuclear attack during the Cold War.

Inside Kent's wonderful scenery, you cannot go away without visiting the famous Vineyards of Biddenden, the most ancient of the area. It is a question of 22 hectares, in which holding a permit visits can be done. Perhaps the best thing of everything, and more advisable, a visit is to the shops of the vineyard, where you will be able to taste the exquisite broth that here is prepared.

Not only the already mentioned Castle of Dover is for these grounds. Other of more interesting that we can find is the Castle of Leeds, constructed in the XIIth century, and that it is known popularly as the Castle of Queens, due to many queens who have lived somewhere here. The surroundings of the castle are beautiful, with his gardens and even a golf course.

Also, we will see big art pieces, and up to an aviary. The summer weekends celebrate spectacles of birds of falconry. To get lost for the labyrinths of the garden, other one of the big visits.

Finally, but not for less important it, Kent's county lodges one of the most impressive cathedrals of the world, the Cathedral of Canterbury, one of the most ancient of England, and peregrination place from the Middle Age. Most of his structure date of the XIIth century, and in her many histories and legends sleep, between them the murder of the archbishop of that time, Thomas Beckett, in the XIIth century.

Like véis, a visit cannot escape from you to Kent's county in England, one of the big paradise of Great Britain.

Nevertheless, those that you should go to a hotel de luxe you will have to be provided with two principal disadvantages. The first one is to remain in the ambience Disney. If you want calmness, not to reserve this type of hotels, since the move of the people is constant. The second disadvantage, and more important, is the price. The rooms are expensive, from 200 dollars in night in dead season. The rooms of other hotels are usually much cheaper, and they are a little further of the park, to have major intimacy.

One of the hotels to spend a honeymoon in Disney World is Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, a Victorian coastal tourist center. It is very luxurious, with service of spa, big facilities and big conference. Another place is Disney's Polynesian Resort, full house of exhuberantes gardens and swimming pools, which it moves to us up to the Polynesia, ideal for a perfect honeymoon. It has spectacular conference and it is very close to Disney World.

There are a lot of possibilities to spend a wonderful honeymoon in Disney World. Everything depends of what you like or not the world Disney. There are couples who enjoy in the park, and buy tickets for several days, staying the closer possible of the park. There are others, nevertheless, that in addition to the world Disney, they prefer to know them around it is. For the above mentioned we recommend a more distant hotel to the park, that usually, they are usually the cheapest.

Like moving for Istanbul

Istanbul has a complex system of public transport, which you have to know if you have thought to travel in your next holidays. Today we want to give you some advices to be able to move with facility for the whole city, trying that you save the possible maximum thing.

Istanbul

Precisely, for a long stay in Istanbul, we advise you to buy an Akbil, a card for most of transports of the city. You can buy your Akbil in Eminonu or in Square Taksim, close to the bus station. Especially because these two places are the principal axes of the center of Istanbul.

The buses system is the widest way of traveling round Istanbul. It is possible to travel with our Akbil, or buying a ticket, which is bandaged close to the bus station, while it is possible to buy the private buses inside the same one.

Other one of the options to move us for Istanbul is across the meter that it departs from the Square Taksim. The meter covers a limited part of the city, stopping in Osmanbey, Sisli, Gayrettepe, Levent and Levent 4. Another exit line is an Aksaray, which you have to take if your intention is to go up to the international buses station in Esenler.

There is a tramcar that circulates from Zeytinburnu, across Aksaray and the Old City, it crosses the golden Horn and continues towards the north, along the Bosphorus, up to Kabatas. Finally, the tramcar continues further away, up to Besiktas. You can be provided also with a funicular one, which it should salt in Kabatas and it goes up to the Square Taksim. Funicular other, the Tunnel, does a major route, from Karakoy, in the north side of the Bridge of Galata, up to the south end of Istiklal Cadessi, in Beyoglu.

The light train LTR is the cheapest way of coming from the International Airport of Ataturk up to the center of the city. The private bus Havas also is very useful to connect with the airport, but it is a little more expensive than the train. Nevertheless, it is more comfortable, and for in the Square Taksim. This bus is ideal for those that you are going to remain in the Beyoglu area, while that you are closer to Sultanahmet you must take the train.

We can give a tourist walk along Istanbul in any of his ferries. Most of them go out from the wharves of Eminonu, doing stops in Sirkeci, Besiktas, Karakoy and Kabatas. The tickets of the ferry can be bought to the exit. To take a ferry across the Bosphorus and to explore the Asian side of Istanbul.

When the public transport stops working, from the midnight and up to the 06.00 of the morning, it is suitable to use the taxis. Never risk walking alone along the streets of Istanbul. The taxis are abundant, and the best thing is to say to the driver the hotel at which you stay, and which takes you up to the door. To make sure you that the taxi has taximeter.

The Palace of Vaux de Vicomte in Paris

In Paris, the whole reputation takes the Palace of Versailles. But: do you know that to construct this great complex they were inspired in another less well-known palace?. An elegant palace that is at least of one hour in train of Paris. It is a question of the Palace of Vaux de Vicomte, a masterpiece of the baroque, with a spectacular garden.

Palace of Vaux de Vicomte

And the fact is that Paris is a glorious city, from which sometimes it is necessary to rest a little. Let's go out of her one day, and let's visit Him Vaux de Vicomte, one of the most beautiful places of the world. We can happen the morning discovering the castle and the gardens, have lunch in l'Ecureuil, the elegant local restaurant, and remain here the whole evening for a visit guided in view of the sails. It is possible to do all this, and to be to the return in Paris for the hour of having dinner.

In 1658, Nicolás Fouquet, minister of finance of Luis XIV, hired the architect Luis Levau and the painter and decorator Charles le Brun to create an incredible masterpiece, the Palace of Vaux de Vicomte. Andre le Notre was who designed the gardens.

Not a lot of time after Luis XIV finished this palace, on August 17, 1661, together with many other aristocrats known of the epoch, they were present at the opening of the same one. Fouquet and his wife improvised a holiday that it inspired in the real celebrations of hundred following years. There were games, spectacles, musicians, exotic meal and wine. And to finish the day, a fireworks spectacle.

Although Fouquet was known like an intelligent man, he forgot a very important element when he planned the holiday: the humility. Tremendously jealous of Fouquet and of his palace, king Luis XIV and his ministers decided that only the king, and nothing more that he, a residence as luxurious could allow itself as that. And so, Luis XIV invented a series of accusations on embezzlement of funds of Fouquet, who spent the rest of his life in the jail.
Nevertheless, we have left the Fouquet legacy in the shape of this impressive palace and his gardens, which have remained without changes since it was constructed. Instead of kings and queens, everybody can come to visit this marvel. I advise you it to do in summer, when visits guided in the nights are done, in view of the sails, and sometimes, classical music concerts take place.

The children love this palace, because he seems literally extracted of a fairy tale. On having entered the palace, you have even the possibility of dressing your son in the suits of the epoch, and of extracting a photo.

Additional information

The Palace of Him Vaux de Vicomte is in Maincy. From Paris it is possible to take a train in the Gare du Lyons, which in only thirty minutes, takes us straight to Melun. Also we can take the RER D from Chatelet up to Melun. From the Melun train station you can take a taxi or a bus up to the palace.

If you go in car, from Paris to the palace there are 55 kilometers.

The palace and the garden open from 27 on November 7, from 10.00 until 18.00 hours, although the last visit is realized at 17.45 hours. In summer, the visit guided with sails is at 23.00 hours. The areas are closed every Wednesday, except in July and August.
